Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy

By placing an order with Garage Lifts Direct, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Order Cancellations

Before Shipment

  • Orders may be canceled for a full refund if they have not yet shipped

After Shipment

  • Once an order has shipped:
    • It must follow the standard return process
    • Shipping costs and restocking fees will apply

Custom / Made-to-Order Products

  • Custom or made-to-order items:
    • Cannot be canceled or refunded
  • These products are built specifically for your order

2. Returns Policy (General)

  • All returns require prior authorization
  • Returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery (unless otherwise noted below)

  • In original packaging
  • In resalable condition

3. Return Shipping & Fees

    • All return shipping costs (including freight/LTL)
    • Proper packaging and palletization

Restocking Fees

  • Most returns are subject to:
    • 20%–25% restocking fee
  • Additional deductions may apply for:
    • Damaged returns
    • Missing parts

4. Refund Policy

  • Refunds are:
    • Issued after inspection and approval
    • Returned to the original payment method

6. Exchanges

  • Exchanges are handled by:
    • Returning the original product (if eligible)
    • Placing a new order for the replacement item

7. Warranty (General)

  • All products include a manufacturer-backed warranty

Warranty Covers

  • Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use

Warranty Does NOT Cover

  • Improper installation
  • Misuse or overloading
  • Modifications or unauthorized repairs
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Labor is not included unless explicitly stated

8. Limitation of Liability

  • Garage Lifts Direct and its suppliers are not liable for:
    • Installation errors
    • Improper use
    • Loss of profits
    • Incidental or consequential damages
  • Product suitability for a specific use is the responsibility of the buyer

9. Brand-Specific Exceptions

While most products follow the general policy above, the following brand-specific terms apply:


Katool

  • 14-day return window from purchase
  • Returns subject to:
    • 20% restocking fee
  • Freight is FOB Origin:
    • Customer is responsible for filing freight damage claims directly with the carrier

Torin

  • 14-day return window from delivery (overrides 30-day policy)
  • Returns must be:
    • Unused
    • In original packaging
  • Customer is responsible for:
    • Return shipping (including LTL freight)
  • Restocking fee:
    • Typically 20%
  • Unauthorized parts or modifications may void warranty

Tuxedo

  • Returns require approval and must be:
    • Unused and uninstalled
  • Customer must:
    • Inspect at delivery
    • Note damage on receipt
  • Failure to document damage at delivery:
    • May result in denied claims

Atlas Auto Equipment

  • Standard return policy applies
  • Strong emphasis on:
    • Proper installation
    • Inspection before installation

Ceiling Sam

  • 14-day return window from delivery
  • Items must be:
    • Unopened
    • Unused
    • In original packaging
  • Restocking fee: 10%
  • Customer responsible for:
    • Return shipping
  • Refund amount:
